Happy Father’s Day!

  JUNE 20, 2021 Since I shared random pics of my mom & me for Mother’s Day, I figured I’d do the same for Father’s Day this year, as well! Week 24: Father’s Day Let’s start at the beginning – aka when my dad came into the world! Here is Gary Jon Foltz in 1954, leaning against the same steps as a baby that I did on Cerise Avenue in Gardena, California. This little guy grew up to become a father, and I had the lucky opportunity of being his first born in 1985. I’m sure he had his hands full with me. One of the benefits of growing up in Southern California was the accessibility to Disneyland Park in Anaheim. I’m sure he didn’t know at the time that all of those trips to the Happiest Place on Earth would plant the seed of me needing to work for the Mouse House when I grew up, but it sure did. Happy Mother’s Day!

  MAY 14, 2021 The family tree can’t flourish without all the MOTHERS in our lives. This blog is in celebration of the MOM in my life! Week 19: Mother’s Day Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s a few that speak volumes! MOM & ME This is my mom and me at LAX airport heading up to San Francisco and Sacramento for a 4th grade field trip with Calvary Baptist! I was really into wearing clothes from Limited Too, and I thought my hot pink duffel bags were so cool. I don’t really recall how I FELT about fanny packs, but I know I constantly wore them, like I am in the photo. I do remember mini backpacks, like the one I was sporting, were all the rage, too! This snapshot was taken on the trip up north rather than our return home, because our flight was more than 4 hours delayed on the return and NONE of us had smiles on our faces during that airport hangout. THROWBACK! It’s crazy how similar my sister looks to my mom’s kid and teen photos! The genes are strong with this one....
